The story
About
VacMesh.com
This domain has history. Not the vague kind domain brokers put in listings — real history, with real people, in a niche most people know nothing about.
Where this started
Vackpak Products
VacMesh.com was originally the home of Vackpak Products — a business operating since 1979 out of California. A genuine expert operation in commercial vacuum sealing equipment and bags, back when most people didn't know the difference between a channel bag and a chamber pouch.
Vackpak sold the TC-280 chamber sealers, the Promarks equipment line, Weston sealers and bags, and a range of specialty items — oxygen absorbers, mylar bags, desiccants — that serious food preservers actually needed. The customer base was real: butcher shops, commercial kitchens, hunters, and home processors who knew what they were doing.
The domain was eventually let go. When it dropped, I picked it up — because the name still means something in this niche, and the work done over 40+ years deserves to continue in some form.
The Pro-2300 story
How the Weston Pro-2300 Got to Market
The Weston Pro-2300 didn't just appear on store shelves fully formed. There were real people involved in convincing Weston to bring it to market — people who understood what serious home processors and small commercial operations actually needed and couldn't get at the time.
I was one of them. There were four of us, and we all had skin in the game. We helped make the case to Weston. We tested the machine. I made the early videos showing people how to use it — including how to run FoodSaver-compatible rolls in a machine designed for a different use case.
That connection is why the product knowledge on this site is real. I'm not pulling Amazon descriptions and rewriting them. I know this equipment.
Where things stand now
What VacMesh.com Is Today
For now, VacMesh.com is an Amazon affiliate resource focused on vacuum sealer bags, rolls, and Pro-2300 parts that are actually worth buying. The TC-280 page points to the right dealer for that machine.
The longer-term vision is a brand. Vacmesh is a good name — short, specific, and rooted in what vacuum sealers actually need: the mesh structure that allows proper airflow during vacuum sealing. If I ever get into importing or private-labeling vacuum sealer products, this is the brand I'd build it around.
For now it's a useful resource. If something here helps you make a better purchasing decision, that's good enough.
