Channel Bags vs. Chamber Bags
Using the wrong bag for your machine is the #1 cause of bad seals. Here's the quick guide.
I have a FoodSaver-type sealer
External clamp-style sealers — FoodSaver, Weston Pro-2300, Nesco, most home units — require embossed channel bags with a textured pattern. The ridges create a channel for the machine to pull air through. Smooth flat bags won't work.
